Do I need experience?

No. Most people start with no experience. We will place you in the right class and help you learn safely step by step.

What should I wear?

Wear a t-shirt and athletic shorts or leggings for your first visit. If you already own a gi, bring it. If not, that is okay.

Am I too old to start?

No. Adults start at every age and fitness level. We will help you train at a pace that makes sense.

Can beginners spar?

Beginners are coached into live training gradually. Safety, control, and learning come first.

Is training safe?

Martial arts training has physical risk, but our classes are coach-led, structured, and focused on control so students can learn safely.

Can my child try a class first?

Yes. Kids, juniors, teens, and adults can start with a free trial before joining.

What should I bring?

Bring water and wear comfortable athletic clothes. If you already have a gi, bring it. If not, that is okay for your first visit.

How much does training cost?

One student is $155 per month. Family member discounts are available, and eligible Florida families may be able to use Step Up For Students scholarship funds.

How do you place students in classes?

Placement is based on age, size, aptitude, emotional maturity, behavior, and safety. Final placement rests with the Head Instructor.

Do you offer ladies training?

Yes. Ladies ages 10 and up may train with the appropriate group based on size, maturity, aptitude, and safety. Women's coaching support is available.

Can parents watch class?

Yes. Parents are welcome to watch kids and juniors classes from the viewing area.

Do you offer kids classes?

Yes. We offer Kids classes for ages 4 to 7 and Juniors classes for ages 8 to 12, with age-appropriate coaching and structure.

What if I'm out of shape?

You do not need to get in shape first. Training is how you build strength, movement, and confidence over time.

Do you accept Step Up For Students?

Yes. Vykyng Martial Arts Club is an approved Direct-Pay Provider through Step Up For Students.

How does the free trial work?

Call, text, or send the contact form. We will help you pick the right class, then you can try training for 7 days.

Do you teach self-defense or competition?

Both. Our classes build practical self-defense skills, strong fundamentals, and a path for students who want to compete.
